Job Responsibilities:
-Understanding the electronic circuit designs for various lighting functions (e.g., headlights, taillights, turn signals, daytime running lamps, position lamps, interior lighting)
-Be actively involved in the discussions with the supplier in Identifying, evaluating, and selection of the suitable electronic components (e.g., LEDs, controllers, sensors) from suppliers
-Ensure component compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
-Understanding the RFQ requirements with respective to the Vehicle interface/ architecture which involves the partner ECUs integrating with the lamps (e.g., BCM, VCU, HMI)
-Participate in the Lamp validations on the vehicle level and conduct rigorous testing to ensure that product is meeting all the requirements in terms and functionality and regulations
Technical/ Functional competencies: Team member should have good experience in understanding of the Lighting system components such as Headlamp, Tail lamp, DRL, Front Fog lamp, Mood lighting etc. (All exterior & interior Lighting system). Good knowledge of Electronics, hardware design, ISO26262 Standards, EMI/EMC
-Collaborate and maintain strong relationships with lamp suppliers to define the electronic architecture for the lamps with respective to the RFQ and the Feature list
-Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous to support on the technical deliverables from the RFQ to the SOP stages
-Active involvement in the Documentation support in the preparation of the supportive technical documents
-Knowledge of automotive lighting technologies (e.g., LED, laser, matrix beam)
-Knowledge in DFMEA analysis during the development phase of the product with all the possible electronic failures in the logic
-Hands-on experience with testing equipment such as oscilloscope, signal generators and logic analyzers
-Access and support the integration of lighting control systems, communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN)
-TDKO deliverables activities tracking to ensure the track of all the technical data and meeting the project timeline
-Analyze test results of environmental and electrical testing to ensure the compliance with regulatory requirement (EMI/EMC, thermal) and recommend design modifications or improvements to meet the requirement
-Optimization of EBOM, active involvement in benchmarking of latest trend in automotive lighting
-Responsible to attend the Part Quality issues and involvement in the validation to resolve the field issues
-Involvement in the verification of Generic CTR w.r.t to the advance lamp ECU technologies
Skill Required: Verification of EBOM, Schematics, DFMEA Analysis, Diagnostics, ICE/ EV Vehicle Interface
