Qualifications/ Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred (from premium institutes like NITIE/SP Jain/IIT
2+ years in Supply Chain Planning / Distribution Planning
Preferred industry - Consumer Products / FMCG with experience in product-level
distribution across mother warehouse and branch warehouses / distribution centres
Distribution Planning & Execution
Lead and drive the distribution plan from Mother Warehouse to 20 Branch
Warehouses across multiple product categories.
Align planning with business numbers, customer channels, and frequency of
distribution.
Product Availability & Planning Frameworks
Own availability of 1,500–2,000 SKUs by designing robust distribution frameworks,
prioritization models, and scenario-based planning to manage constraints.
Ensure product availability for billing across all channels.
Inventory Management & Policy
Define and monitor inventory holding policies and norms, based on network lead
Drive replenishment planning using rolling inventory norms.
Ensure effective stock distribution across the network with focus on cost optimization
Replenishment & Fill Rates
# Establish replenishment mechanisms across all inventory nodes.
# Slow-Moving & Obsolete Inventory Management
Design and execute mitigation and liquidation plans to minimize risk.
Stakeholder Management & Warehouse & Logistics Coordination
Work closely with warehouse teams to measure and redefine SLAs, ensuring dispatch
compliance and reprioritization as needed.
Collaborate with logistics teams for efficient vehicle planning and load optimization.
Manage and guide the operational distribution planning team on overall
S&OP files, stock availability reports, fill rate analysis,
dispatch compliance and rolling inventory projections.
Contribute to network optimization frameworks and overall efficiency improvements.
Supply Chain Planning, Distribution Planning & Inventory Planning
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
Strong proficiency in Excel & Advanced Excel
Ability to manage complexity of large SKU base and multi-channel distribution.
Excellent cross-functional collaboration (Sales, SCM, Finance, Logistics).
