Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Backend Developer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in building robust and scalable backend systems using Spring Boot . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining server-side applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features while maintaining code quality and implementing best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain scalable Java-based backend services using Spring Boot.
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Collaborate with architects and other developers to design system architecture and components.
Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the continuous improvement of our technology stack.
Develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services and databases.
Ensure APIs are secure, well-documented, and adhere to industry standards.
Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexes for relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Manage data migrations and ensure data integrity.
Implement and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines.
Automate deployment processes to various environments (development, staging, production).
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers.
Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and bugs promptly.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java backend development.
Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework.
Proven experience in building and maintaining scalable backend systems.
Technical Skills:
Java: Strong proficiency in Java 8 or higher.
Spring Framework: In-depth knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and other Spring modules.
Databases: Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks like Hibernate.
APIs: Expertise in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
CI/CD: Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins).
Version Control: Proficient in using Git and Git workflows.
Deployment: Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) is a plus.
Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is desirable.
Testing Frameworks: Experience with JUnit, Mockito, or similar testing frameworks.
Agile Methodologies: Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with microservices architecture.
Knowledge of PHP is a plus
Knowledge of frontend technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React, Angular) is a plus.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
Understanding of security best practices in software development.
Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio.
