Reports to: Lead Integration Engineer / Engineering Manager


Responsibilities

  • System Integration: Integrate electrical systems in EVs, ensuring the compatibility and communication between the powertrain, battery systems, vehicle control systems, and other electronic modules.
  • Collaboration with Design Teams: Work closely with design engineers, software developers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure that electrical components meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing of integrated systems, including functional testing, system-level validation, and performance benchmarking to ensure all systems operate as intended.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Analyze and resolve integration issues and vehicle faults, providing technical support during development and post-production phases.
  • Electrical Schematics & Wiring Diagrams: Review and contribute to the development of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout designs to support integration and vehicle assembly.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all systems and components comply with relevant automotive safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices (e.g., ISO 26262, UNECE).
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in electrical systems integration and work on optimizing efficiency, power management, and performance.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with project managers to define project timelines, deliverables, and milestones for electrical vehicle integration tasks.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical system integration, preferably in the automotive or electric vehicle industry.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, vehicle control networks (CAN, LIN), battery systems, power electronics, and electric drivetrains.
  • Experience with vehicle-level integration, including knowledge of charging systems, battery management systems (BMS), and energy management systems (EMS).
  • Proficiency in using system modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink), diagnostic tools, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61851) and relevant regulations for electric vehicles.
  • Hands-on experience with vehicle hardware and embedded systems integration.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Master’s degree in Electrical or Automotive Engineering.
  • Experience with high-voltage systems and components in electric vehicles.
  • Familiarity with embedded software development for vehicle control units (VCU) and motor controllers.
  • Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience with automotive simulation and modeling software.
  • Familiarity with the design and integration of autonomous vehicle systems.
