Here, what you do matters Job Overview: Closely work with DR team and functional stakeholders to manage Disaster Recovery Responsibilities Key Tasks/Responsibilities: Administer and configure Rubrik backup appliances and software, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Supporting and troubleshooting Rubrik backup, recovery, and archiving in a large, complex, and widely distributed environment. A subject matter expert who can provide direct technical support as needed in the planning, coordination, installation, and implementation and testing of releases, upgrades, or changes to backup solutions. Oversee daily backup operations, including scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting of backup jobs to ensure data integrity and availability. Provide status and progress reports for Rubrik backup environment-related activities and tasks on a regular/periodic basis. Develop, test, and maintain Orchestrated Recovery disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure rapid restoration of services and data in case of outages or data loss incidents. Monitor and optimize backup and recovery performance, including capacity planning and scaling of Rubrik infrastructure. Diagnose and resolve backup and recovery issues promptly; provide support and technical guidance to other IT staff and end-users as needed. Maintain comprehensive documentation of backup configurations, procedures, and disaster recovery plans; update documentation aschanges occur. Ensure backup processes comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements; implement and enforce security measures for backup data. Work closely with other IT teams to integrate Rubrik solutions with other systems and applications; participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives. Plan and implement best practices for backup solutions. Proactive measures to ensure adequate storage capacity is available. Capability to upgrade Rubrik software across different versions and regular patching of Rubrik environment. Contribute to the effective and efficient handling of all levels of technical support cases, from basic user questions to issues requiring more in-depth technical and problem-solving skills Independently diagnose and resolve problems within our sphere of the customer environment. Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal team Provide advice and information to customers and partners regarding general cloud infrastructure as service offerings and best practices. Requires the individual to exercise excellent judgment at a faster-than-average pace while paying extremely close attention to detail and courtesy Ensure proper recording and closure of all issues. Contribute Rubrik technical content to leading Deployment Guides, Knowledge bases, FAQs, etc. Research new technologies and processes. Strong experience in Rubrik Backup Administration involving Net App and Dell Servers. Protecting Databases and managing volumes. Qualifications Education Qualification:6+ years OF EXPERIENCE in Rubrik Backup tool Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Rubrik certified system administrator (RCSA) certification Azure certifications Desired/Preferred Qualifications: In-depth understanding of the Rubrik Backup solution for business continuity and disaster recovery in virtualized environments. Replication, sizing drives into the replication mechanics, and how to size environments properly for Rubrik deployments. A subject matter expert who can provide direct technical support as needed in the planning, coordination, installation, and implementation and testing of releases, upgrades, or changes to backup solutions. How to manage recovery operations effectively via the Rubrik backup solution. Hands-on experience on configuring & managing backups of various os system, Oracle DB, SQL DB, Net App volumes, sybase servers, and O365 services. Hands-on experience on restore process via multiple method. Good knowledge on Threat Hunting process. Understanding of APIs integration with Rubrik. Common Issues, Troubleshooting, Rubrik port addresses typical challenges, troubleshooting techniques, and how to engage Rubrik support Advance Knowledge of VMware, v Center Roles, and Permissions focuses on the network aspects such as required ports, v Center roles, and permissions needed for Rubric. Comprehensive knowledge and expertise to manage and implement Rubrik backup solutions, and skills in disaster recovery and virtual replication. Azure experience in virtualization, networking, identity, and storage. Understanding of on-premises virtualization technologies, including VMs, virtual networking, and virtual hard disks. Understanding of network configurations, including TCP/IP, Domain Name System (DNS), virtual private networks (VPNs), firewalls, and encryption technologies. Understanding of Active Directory concepts, including users, groups, and role-based access control. Understanding of resilience and disaster recovery, including backup and restore operations.
