About CompanyA leading startup into Two-wheeler space, It is into designing and manufacturing electric motorcycles and related components.Job DescriptionJob Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Finance Controller with a Chartered Accountancy background and significant experience in the automobile manufacturing sector. The role demands hands-on leadership to oversee financial planning, plant accounting, costing, compliance, and financial risk management while supporting business growth and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:Financial Planning & ReportingOversee timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Ind-AS and statutory requirementsDrive annual budgeting, forecasting, and periodic re-forecasts aligned with business plansAnalyze financial data to provide actionable insights to senior managementPlant Finance & CostingImplement and monitor standard costing systems for manufacturing operationsConduct product cost analysis, variance analysis, and process costing to drive profitabilityCollaborate with production and supply chain to optimize material costs and manage scrap/wastageInternal Controls & ComplianceEstablish and maintain robust internal controls across multiple plant locationsEnsure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements (direct and indirect taxes, GST, customs duty, etc.)Coordinate statutory audits, internal audits, and government inspectionsWorking Capital & Treasury ManagementMonitor working capital, optimize inventory levels, and manage receivables/payablesManage banking relationships, cash flow forecasting, and treasury functions to ensure liquidityBusiness PartneringWork closely with operations, procurement, and engineering teams to align finance with production and sourcing strategiesSupport cost-reduction and efficiency initiatives within the plantParticipate in capital investment evaluations (capex proposals, ROI analysis)Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop a team of plant accountants and finance staffPromote a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and complianceRequired Skills & Competencies:Chartered Accountant (CA) with minimum 10 years post-qualification, with at least 5 years in a leadership/controller role within manufacturing (preferably automobile or auto-components)Strong understanding of accounting standards and manufacturing finance practicesIn-depth knowledge of cost accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis in an automobile/auto-components manufacturing environmentStrong command of statutory compliance, including GST, TDS, excise/customs, and other relevant tax lawsProficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or other manufacturing ERPs)Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skillsStrong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and business acumenPreferred:Exposure to automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier manufacturing financeExperience in implementing or upgrading ERP systems in a plant settingKnowledge of global reporting standards (IFRS)Ability to work in a multi-plant, high-volume production environment
