The Manager, Product & Engineering is responsible for executing the design, product and technical build, support and maintenance of a key product or limited product portfolio, as well as the supporting technology capabilities and infrastructure that support that product in an Agile driven environment. Most often leading teams of 5 - 10 FTE, and may lead teams of onshore and offshore contracting companies. Direct reporting line may include team(s) of Product Manager(s), Product Owner(s), technical and solution architecture, DevOps management, UI / UX, Test, as well as full stack Software Development. The Manager, Product & Engineering is also responsible for attracting, hiring, retaining a high performing, full stack, team of Product Managers, Software Developers, architects, other members of technical staff to support products and platforms. This role is also directly accountable for developing strong and productive relationships outside your direct teams with Customer or Customer representative teams, partner organizations, dependent engineering teams, and supporting vendors Effectively manage product and engineering team to achieve results by providing appropriate direction, timely developmental feedback and coaching, and conducting performance reviews and conversations. Manage both technical relationships with assigned vendors, including driving features and function requests for inclusion in future product releases. Drive continuous development practice improvements across technical disciplines (e.g. team structure, roles, processes, tooling, security & compliance). Interview and hire qualified team members, striving to improve T-Mobile bench strength and augmenting product or project teams with contract staff when required. Lead performance management, mentoring, coaching and career pathing for team members. Participate in cross-functional planning sessions and work closely with Product and Engineering leaders. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience ~5 – 8 years of product management experience in an agile software development environment ~ Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Agile project management tools ~ Understanding of end-to-end Agile delivery lifecycle and execution ~ Strong technical writing and requirements elicitation skills ~ Experience delivering large and complex business or technology initiatives ~ Ability to define initiatives, features, and user stories for DevOps teams ~ Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure) Java, Spring Microservices, Security & Compliance, AI/ML Fundamentals, Performance Optimization, Agile/Scrum Leadership, Product Road mapping, Stakeholder Management, Team Leadership & Mentorship, Cross-Functional Collaboration. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Scrum Product Owner Certification (CSPO) Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
