Job Title: Jira Plugin Developer

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Jira Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Jira development, a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, and excellent problem-solving skills. As a Senior Jira Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying custom Jira plugins, integrations, and workflows to support our organization's business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Custom Jira Plugin Development: • Design and develop custom Jira plugins using Java, Java Script, or other relevant programming languages. • Develop plugins to integrate with external systems, services, or applications. • Ensure plugins are scalable, efficient, and meet our organization's security standards.
2. Jira Workflow and Screen Customization: • Design and develop custom Jira workflows, screens, and fields to support our organization's business processes. • Develop workflows to automate business processes, reduce manual effort, and improve efficiency. • Ensure workflows and screens are intuitive, user-friendly, and meet our organization's accessibility standards.
3. Jira Integration and API Development: • Develop Jira integrations with external systems, services, or applications using APIs, webhooks, or other integration methods. • Design and develop APIs to expose Jira data, functionality, or services to external systems or applications. • Ensure integrations and APIs are secure, scalable, and meet our organization's security standards.
4. Jira Configuration and Administration: • Configure and administer Jira instances, including user management, permission schemes, and workflow configurations. • Develop and maintain Jira configuration scripts, templates, and documentation. • Ensure Jira instances are properly backed up, restored, and maintained.
5. Testing and Quality Assurance: • Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans for custom Jira plugins, integrations, and workflows. • Ensure plugins, integrations, and workflows meet our organization's quality standards and are free of defects. • Collaborate with QA engineers to identify and resolve defects.
6. Collaboration and Communication: • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and QA. • Communicate technical information and solutions to non-technical stakeholders. • Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and other team members.
7. Continuous Improvement: • Stay up-to-date with the latest Jira features, releases, and best practices. • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance team efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of Jira development, including Java, Java Script, and other relevant programming languages.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues.
Experience with Jira APIs, webhooks, and other integration methods.
Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
