We at Azim Premji Foundation are working to improve the health of the underserved communities living in urban settlements of Bangalore.


Since 2022, we have started an integrated community health program across 5 locations in Bangalore. At each location, we have our Health Centre, and a team of Community Health Workers managed by a local not-for-profit organisation.


  • The Health Centres (with a team of doctors, nurses, a pharmacist and a lab technician) provide primary health services to the patients targeting a cluster of urban settlements in its neighborhood
  • The Community Health Workers support the patients and the target community at large on health awareness and health education, community-level screening, follow-ups etc. in coordination with the Health Centre teams
  • The team also collaborates with the local public health systems to facilitate the necessary services and benefits to the communities


As a Community Health Coordinator , you will be working closely with the above people to:

  • Engaging with the local not-for profit organisation to build a standardised community health program
  • Capacity building of the Community Health Workers through field engagements and group interactions
  • Coordination with the Health Centre teams on effective planning and execution of the community outreach work
  • Engaging with local public systems including Anganwadis and PHCs to strengthen the health work in the location


To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Masters degree in public health/social work with 8 years of relevant work experience
  • An unwavering commitment to serve the communities, and the resilience to work full-time in an evolving environment
  • Fluency in Kannada and Hindi language is preferred, as is understanding of public health and data analytics


Base work location: St. Marks Road, Bangalore. This role will involve travel to multiple locations in Bangalore (Bellandur, Peenya, Hebbal, Kengeri and Thubarahalli) where our Health Centres are set up.
