JOB DESCRIPTION:
The MDM Data Steward Manager role is responsible for working within the global data governance team and with their local businesses to maintain alignment to the Enterprise Data HUB (EDH) processes, rules and standards set to ensure data is fit for purpose.
This will be achieved through the Data Steward operating as the single point of contact for those creating and consuming data within their respected data domain(s) and assigned programs. Additionally, they will be driving the team to interact directly with key domain and project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Primary Accountabilities:
Deliver key elements of Data Discovery, Source Identification, Data Quality Management.
Ensure data accuracy and adherence to organizational defined global governance practices.
Define Data Quality Rules from Source systems.
Advise on various projects and initiatives to ensure that any data related changes and dependencies are identified, communicated and managed to ensure adherence with the Enterprise Data Governance established standards.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with business users involved in data related activities: the data producers, the data owners and the data consumers
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency of data workflows including data cleansing, data quality improvements, KPIs and reporting.
Data Governance Business Standards:
Ensures alignment of the data governance processes and standards with applicable enterprise data and business
Owns one or multiple domain perspectives in defining and continually evolving the roadmap for enterprise data governance based upon strategic business objectives.
Advise on various projects and initiatives to ensure that any data related changes and dependencies are identified, communicated and managed to ensure adherence with the Enterprise Data Governance established standards.
