Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Casting and Machining Inspection Professional at SHREE HANS ALLOYS LIMITED. The professional will be responsible for inspecting casting and machining processes, ensuring quality control standards are met, and managing inspection procedures. The role will be primarily based in Dholka, with flexibility for some remote work. He will be responsible for ensuring the quality of castings and machined components meet drawings, specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of castings and machined components to ensure compliance with customer specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
- Verify casting dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish using precision measuring instruments.
- Witness of Destructive & Non-destructive Testing.
- Identify and report defects, anomalies, and areas for improvement in casting processes.
- Develop and implement inspection plans, procedures, and checklists to ensure effective quality control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, and Quality Assurance, to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Identify and report defects, anomalies, and areas for improvement in casting and machining processes.
- Develop and maintain inspection records, reports, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct audits and assessments of supplier quality management systems to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, standards, and best practices in casting and machining inspection.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production, Metallurgy, or related field.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or related field, preferably in casting and machining industries.
- Strong knowledge of casting and machining processes, materials, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Proficiency in inspection techniques, including visual, dimensional, and non-destructive testing methods.
- Knowledge of Casting Methoding and Pattern inspection.
- Knowledge and experience in the following manufacturing processes
- - Casting (i.e. Sand and Centrifugal Castings)
- - Machining (i.e. Conventional Lathes & VTLs, VMC machining centers, de-burring) – Conversant in
- Knowledge of Codes & Standards (ASME, API, DIN, IS, ISO etc.)
- Knowledge of DT & NDT (Level II – DPT, UT, RT)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and lean manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., Pump Manufacturing).
- Hands on experience with precise measuring & monitoring instruments etc.
