Position: Desk Editor, ETCIO & ETCISO / ET Education / ETHRWorld
Location: Noida
About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Desk Editor to join our team for our prominent brands including ETCIO, ETCISO, ETHRWorld and ETEducation. The ideal candidate should have 4+ years of experience in a desk function, whether in mainstream or B2B media. This role focuses entirely on desk-related functions and requires a keen eye for detail, excellent editing skills, and the ability to maintain editorial flow across multiple platforms.
Job responsibilities:
Building and maintaining editorial calendar/ maintain style sheet
Follow up with reporters for story deadlines
Editing stories, suggesting changes, clearing copies
Uploading in house stories, press releases, authored articles etc
Factor & monitor special occasions/in-house conferences, IPs and stories/coverage
Newsletters: story selection, demo mail, send out as per schedule
Special newsletters: ideation, follow through for coverage and conceptualize
Monitor website health, suggest new sections, ideas, package and repackage content to attract audiences
Monitor story trends, hits/misses/special dates
Conduct reviews with edit team - decided frequency
Write short research reports editorially
Maintain engagement with PR agencies to build pipeline for press releases, authored articles
Maintain connect with other internal and external stakeholders for content as required (discuss with editor)
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, or related field
Strong editorial skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
Proficient in editing and writing in English
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work within tight deadlines
Familiarity with CMS (Content Management System) and content uploading processes
Knowledge of creating and maintaining editorial calendars
Experience in email newsletter creation and distribution
Proactive and adaptable, with a “can-do” attitude
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, reporters, and external partners
A team player with the ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
