Job Description: Accounts Executive – Dubai Operations 

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join our Dubai operations team - Marcel Global General Trading FZE . The ideal candidate will manage financial transactions, ensure accurate reporting, and provide support for import and export-related activities. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and knowledge of international trade processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting & Financial Management


  • Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UAE financial regulations.
  • Manage payroll processing and statutory filings such as VAT and other local taxation requirements.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial statements and reporting.


2. Import & Export Coordination


  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of import/export transactions.
  • Monitor trade documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
  • Liaise with customs, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with trade regulations.
  • Track shipment costs and ensure alignment with budgets.


3. Financial Analysis & Reporting


  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Provide regular financial reports to the management team.
  • Assist in budget preparation and forecasting.


4. Compliance & Audit


  • Ensure adherence to all local financial and trade regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for yearly audits and resolve any discrepancies.


5.Collaboration & Stakeholder Management


  • Work closely with the operations, procurement, and logistics teams to streamline processes.
  • Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions for trade-related transactions, such as LCs (Letters of Credit).


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within import/export or trading industries.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations, including VAT and customs procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
  • Excellent Excel and financial analysis skills.
  • Strong understanding of international trade documentation and processes.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
