TCS is Hiring for Mainframe storage

Location- Bangalore

Experience- 6 to 8 years

Job Description-

  • Monitoring storage health parameters
  • Troubleshooting of issues and analyzing event logs, and taking configuration backup.
  • Data Backing up and recovery
  • Installation and Management of Tape libraries
  • Installation and Configuration of Mainframe Storages Systems, DS8K and Tape libraries and SAN Switches, FCIP Routers.
  • Troubleshooting and Performance monitoring of Mainframe storages
  • Configure Hosts and Host Groups on Storages.
  • Connectivity of Storage with SAN Switches and Servers.
  • Creation of Arrays, Logical Volumes (LUN) and mapping to Hosts\\Host groups.
  • Implementation of flash copy.
  • Configuration and execution of replication services
  • Data migration, replication and monitoring
  • EMC Storage migration to DS8000 via TDMF or equivalent tools
  • Implementation, and maintenance of storage systems including SAN, NAS, and tape libraries, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Storage Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize storage infrastructure, including storage pools, volumes, and data migration processes, to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Performance Management: Monitor storage system performance metrics and analyze trends to identify optimization opportunities and ensure optimal performance for business-critical applications and workloads.
  • Data Protection and Disaster Recovery: Lead the design and implementation of data protection measures, including backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions, to ensure data integrity and availability in the event of system failures or disasters.
  • Storage Security: Develop and implement security measures to protect storage systems from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert in troubleshooting storage-related issues, providing guidance and leadership to resolve complex problems and minimize downtime.
