The Role
We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Supply Chain Associate based in India with mechanical experience to support sourcing and procurement activities for our electric 2-wheeler charging infrastructure and battery swapping network. This role will involve working with suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality mechanical components necessary for building our robust network of battery swap stations, public fast chargers, and home chargers for electric 2-wheelers. The ideal candidate should be adaptable, highly motivated, and excited to contribute to our client's mission in a fast-paced startup environment.
What You’ll Do:
• Lead the sourcing and procurement of mechanical components for electric 2-wheeler charging stations and battery swapping systems, with a focus on scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team to identify, assess, and onboard suppliers primarily located in India.
• Conduct thorough assessments of potential suppliers to ensure alignment with our client's quality, cost, and reliability standards.
• Act as the liaison between the engineering team and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and resolving any challenges that arise.
• Manage the timely delivery of mechanical components, ensuring they meet both technical specifications and budgetary constraints.
• Stay informed about market trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to electric 2-wheeler infrastructure to refine and improve our sourcing strategy.
What You Bring:
• 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management or procurement, preferably in mechanical systems, electric vehicle infrastructure, or energy sectors.
• Strong understanding of the Indian supply chain landscape, including taxes, tariffs, and GST regulations.
• Willingness to travel within India to meet suppliers and attend relevant industry events.
• Good communication and negotiation skills, especially in working with local suppliers to manage costs and lead times.
• Problem-solving mindset, able to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Great to Have:
• Experience in sourcing mechanical components for energy infrastructure, electric 2-wheeler systems, or industrial projects.
