Role Overview:
The Sales Engineer will serve as a technical bridge between Fair Cloud AI's innovative solutions and our prospective clients. This role focuses on supporting the sales team by providing deep technical expertise during the sales cycle, demonstrating the value of our AI-driven cloud solutions, and ensuring clients' technical needs are met. You'll work closely with sales reps, engineers, and clients to translate complex technical capabilities into compelling, client-focused solutions that drive sales success.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Technical Support:
- Partner with the sales team to provide technical expertise during client meetings, demos, and presentations.
- Conduct live demonstrations and proof-of-concept (Po C) implementations to showcase Fair Cloud AI's capabilities in cloud cost optimization, backend infrastructure, and custom applications.
- Address technical questions and objections from prospects, ensuring confidence in our solutions.
Client Needs Analysis:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their technical requirements, infrastructure challenges, and business objectives.
- Assess client environments (e.g., cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure) and recommend tailored solutions that align with Fair Cloud AI's offerings.
- Develop detailed use cases and technical documentation to illustrate how our solutions solve specific client pain points.
Solution Customization & Validation:
- Work with engineering teams to configure and customize solutions, ensuring they meet client specifications and performance expectations.
- Validate technical feasibility of proposed solutions, providing insights on implementation timelines, resources, and potential risks.
- Create architecture diagrams, technical specs, and cost estimates to support sales proposals.
Sales Enablement:
- Equip the sales team with technical training, collateral, and insights to effectively pitch Fair Cloud AI's value proposition.
- Assist in crafting compelling proposals, RFPs, and responses to client inquiries with a balance of technical depth and business clarity.
- Stay updated on competitor offerings to position Fair Cloud AI as a market leader during sales discussions.
Post-Sales Transition:
- Ensure a smooth handoff to implementation teams by documenting client requirements and technical agreements.
- Provide initial post-sales support to address any technical questions during onboarding, fostering client satisfaction and trust.
Market & Product Feedback:
- Gather insights from client interactions to inform product development and refine Fair Cloud AI's solutions.
- Identify trends in client needs and the broader cloud/AI market, sharing recommendations with internal teams to stay ahead of the curve.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Advanced certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure) or an MBA are a plus.
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in a sales engineering, pre-sales, or technical consulting role within a software, cloud, or tech-focused company.
- Proven track record of supporting sales teams in closing deals with technical buyers (e.g., CTOs, IT managers).
Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), backend infrastructure, and software development processes.
- Familiarity with AI-driven tools, Dev Ops practices, or cloud cost management solutions is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with demos, Po Cs, or technical solution design.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, engaging manner.
- Strong presentation and demonstration skills, with confidence in client-facing environments.
- Collaborative mindset to work seamlessly with sales, engineering, and product teams.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to quickly analyze client challenges and propose practical, value-driven technical solutions.
- Comfort with troubleshooting and addressing technical objections during the sales process.
