Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented engineer to lead our GA/Body/Paint Shop's Maintenance & Automation team.
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and implementing automation solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
This role offers a dynamic environment where you can leverage your expertise to directly impact Vin Fast's production success.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the maintenance and repair of painting equipment, including robots, spray booths, and conveyor systems.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Work collaboratively with production teams to identify areas for automation and develop solutions to improve efficiency and quality control.
Manage and prioritize maintenance work orders, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety protocols.
Stay current with advancements in painting technologies and automation solutions, recommending and implementing appropriate upgrades.
Prepare and present technical reports, data analysis, and recommendations to improve paint shop operations.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards within the Paint Shop.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
Proven track record of leading and motivating a team of technicians.
Strong understanding of painting processes, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
Experience with automation technologies, including robots, PLC programming.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with engineering software (desired).
