Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis & Security Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP Basis administration, security management, and support, with a focus on maintaining and optimizing SAP landscapes and applications, including SAP ERP, SAP CRM, and SAP Solution Manager. This role requires hands-on expertise in system administration, transport system management, user permissions, troubleshooting, and SAP system performance monitoring.

As part of this role, you will lead a cross-functional team to implement, maintain, and troubleshoot complex SAP environments while ensuring the system’s security, integrity, and availability. You will work closely with stakeholders across various departments to ensure the success of SAP projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP Basis Administration:

  • Administer and manage SAP systems (ERP, CRM, Solution Manager), ensuring optimal performance, system health, and availability.
  • Manage and monitor the SAP transport system, including the configuration and execution of transports.
  • Responsible for user administration, role-based security, and permissions management within the SAP environment.
  • Install and apply support packages, conduct system upgrades, patches, and updates as required.
  • Perform regular backups and recovery procedures to ensure system resilience.
  • Conduct system refreshes and troubleshoot various SAP components (SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, etc.).

System Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

  • Continuously monitor SAP landscapes to ensure seamless operations, including work processes, system logs, short dumps, locks, and performance issues.
  • Identify and resolve issues such as failed RFC calls, system errors, and job failures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SAP system performance issues, ensuring efficient resource usage (CPU, memory, disk space).
  • Conduct failover testing and validation to ensure system availability and disaster recovery preparedness.

SAP Security Administration:

  • Manage SAP user access, roles, and authorizations to ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
  • Work with internal and external teams to implement security measures, including data encryption, access control, and role-based security policies.
  • Perform periodic user audits and manage segregation of duties (SoD) checks to ensure compliance with SAP security standards.

Team Leadership & Project Implementation:

  • Lead a cross-functional team to analyze, design, and implement SAP solutions based on business requirements.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure alignment between SAP solutions and organizational goals.
  • Coordinate and support system testing and validation for SAP projects, upgrades, and system changes.

Performance Optimization:

  • Monitor SAP landscape and database health, ensuring high system uptime and resource optimization.
  • Review and optimize SAP system configurations, performance tuning, and capacity planning.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, processes, troubleshooting procedures, and security policies.
  • Provide regular reports on system health, incidents, and performance metrics to leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in SAP Basis Administration and SAP Security .
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Strong knowledge of SAP ERP , SAP CRM , and SAP Solution Manager administration.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Transport Management System (TMS) , system upgrades , patching , and support pack installations .
  • Experience managing user roles and authorizations within SAP, including security audits , Segregation of Duties (SoD) , and role-based access control.
  • Familiarity with both Linux and Windows operating systems in SAP environments.
  • Experience in performance monitoring , troubleshooting , and SAP system optimization .
  • Experience with database administration (HANA, Oracle, or SQL) is a plus.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams in SAP environments.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) .
  • Certifications (Preferred):
  • SAP Certified Technology Associate or relevant SAP certifications.
  • ITIL Foundation or similar IT Service Management certification is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on system stability, security, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based SAP solutions (S/4HANA Cloud, SAP Business Technology Platform) is a plus.
