Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Design: Collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements and develop effective test strategies.
Design, create, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Test Execution: Execute test cases manually and using automation tools to ensure product quality.
Analyze test results and identify defects.
Log and track defects using defect tracking tools.
Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and relevant frameworks (Cypress, Postman, etc.).
Automate test cases to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
API Testing: Perform thorough API testing to validate API functionality, performance, and security.
Use tools like Postman to test API endpoints.
UI Testing: Conduct UI testing to ensure the user interface is visually appealing, user-friendly, and functions correctly.
Use tools like Selenium or Cypress to automate UI tests.
Accessibility Testing: Perform accessibility testing to ensure the product is usable by people with disabilities.
Use tools like Axe or Lighthouse to assess accessibility.
Defect Tracking and Reporting: Log and track defects in a defect tracking system.
Provide clear and concise defect reports to development teams.
Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand product features and resolve issues.
Collaborate with other QA team members to share knowledge and best practices.
Must-Have Technical Skills:
Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Python
Database Knowledge: SQL and experience with relational databases
Testing: API testing
UI testing
Automation Tools: Experience with automation frameworks like Cypress or Postman
Preferred Technical Skills:
Programming Languages: JavaScript
Testing: Accessibility testing
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
