Sky Volt's experienced in-house team ensures the highest quality in design, engineering, and construction, making it a key player in the industry.
Role Description (Solar Engineer)
- Coordinate with the project management team, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and project execution.
- Develop and manage the site construction schedule and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation to guide construction activities.
- Supervise the day-to-day activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety regulations and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality and safety compliance.
- Address and resolve any technical or engineering issues that arise on-site.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure project standards are met or exceeded.
- Perform inspections and tests of materials and installations to verify compliance with engineering designs and specifications.
- Document all inspections, tests and modifications to ensure traceability and accountability.
- Enforce health and safety protocols on-site to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks to ensure all team members understand site safety requirements.
- Report and investigate any accidents or incidents on-site, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and stakeholders to provide regular updates on project status and address any concerns.
- Manage site documentation, including progress reports, daily logs and change orders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in site engineering for ground-mounted solar projects.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems including design, installation and commissioning.
- Proven experience in project management with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
