Senior Site Engineer

Sky Volt's experienced in-house team ensures the highest quality in design, engineering, and construction, making it a key player in the industry.
Role Description (Solar Engineer)
Coordinate with the project management team, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and project execution.
Develop and manage the site construction schedule and ensure adherence to project timelines.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation to guide construction activities.
Supervise the day-to-day activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety regulations and quality standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality and safety compliance.
Address and resolve any technical or engineering issues that arise on-site.
Implement quality control measures to ensure project standards are met or exceeded.
Perform inspections and tests of materials and installations to verify compliance with engineering designs and specifications.
Document all inspections, tests and modifications to ensure traceability and accountability.
Enforce health and safety protocols on-site to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks to ensure all team members understand site safety requirements.
Report and investigate any accidents or incidents on-site, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Liaise with clients, consultants and stakeholders to provide regular updates on project status and address any concerns.
Manage site documentation, including progress reports, daily logs and change orders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in site engineering for ground-mounted solar projects.
Strong knowledge of solar PV systems including design, installation and commissioning.
Proven experience in project management with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
