Marketing head for Active pharmaceutical Ingredients

Position: - Marketing head for Active pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) business (Domestic and International markets)

We are looking for a competitive Marketing Head in Active pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and Intermediates business. The candidate must have the capability to do market research to develop and manufacture new APIs and intermediates in existing facilities. The candidate should also have established relations with domestic and international companies who seek to outsource or give contract manufacturing of their products to third party.


Job Description: 


1.      Roping in new customers for existing products

2.      Identifying new products (API or intermediates) which can be manufactured in the existing facilities and building relationships with new customers

3.      Ensure timely delivery of the products to customers.

4.      Ability to achieve assigned sales targets.

5.      Should be able to tour (domestic and international) regularly & visit customers on regular intervals.

6.      Attending relevant conferences and exhibitions to understand other product demands 

7.      Monitor and analysing the data and market conditions to identify competitive advantage

8.     Going through business contract agreements and recommending changes if necessary.

9.     Ability to Evaluate the costing/pricing of products and negotiate with customers for better deals.

10.  Relevant knowledge in organic chemistry to understand the requirements of customers.

11.  Coordinate with regulatory & QA department on regular basis for sample submission and other related documents.

12.  Solving customer’s issues & queries, resolving complaints if any by co-ordinating

with inter department functions.


Requirements: 

1.      Proven work experience as a marketing professional.

2.      Familiarity with import – export databases and using these database platforms.

3.      Knowledge of MS Office

4.      Excellent communication, negotiation and sales skills

5.      Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in marketing.

6.      Fluency in English (Verbal and Written) communication.


Qualifications and Experience:

1.      Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry and MBA preferred.

2.      15-20 years of experience in Marketing in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Intermediates.
