We are looking for an experience Shopfloor Control Systems Engineer or Consultant immediately. This is permanent WFH role. In this role, the support person will oversee Shopfloor Systems like MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and its satellite applications and assist with upgrades and fixes, and provide training and support as needed. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of computer hardware and software. Experience with Shopfloor systems is required. Engaging with employees at various sites and providing quality remote support will have an immediate impact on the efficiency of our operations and overall growth.Objectives of this roleMaintain essential Shopfloor Control systems, applications, desktop and web-based software.Handle support requests from end-users distributed across the globe and triage them so that Level-1 requests can be quickly addressed and dispositioned.Ensure customer-satisfaction by being highly responsive and knowledgeable.Handle business-critical IT tasks and system improvementsEnable faster and smarter business processes and employee productivityServe as the subject-matter expert supporting MES and its satellite shopfloor applications.ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and support workstation software for end-usersBe responsive to a geographically distributed user-base for Shopfloor control systems.Respond to end-user support requests and resolve all level-1 issues quickly and professionally.Analyze issues reported by end-users and escalate to Level-2 and above by sharing findings and root-cause.Troubleshoot any performance issues or resource-conflict issues.Provide guidance and training to employees who may be new to the applications.Required skills and qualificationsTwo years of experience in supporting Software Applications (Shopfloor Applications is required).Excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to engage customers through online media such as Ms TEAMs and assist with their issues as needed.Ability to maintain confidentiality of company informationPreferred skills and qualificationsAssociates degree (or equivalent) in computer scienceProfessional certificationManufacturing applications experience
