About the Role:
We're seeking a Retail Leasing person to drive the growth of our retail portfolio. As a Retail Leasing Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, securing, and managing retail tenants to maximize occupancy rates and rental income.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tenant Acquisition: Identify and pursue potential retail tenants that align with our property's positioning and target demographics.
- Develop and execute strategic leasing plans to attract high-quality tenants.
- Conduct property tours and presentations to showcase our properties' unique selling points.
- Lease Negotiation: Negotiate lease terms and conditions, including rental rates, lease lengths, and tenant improvement allowances.
- Prepare and review lease documents, ensuring legal compliance and protecting the company's interests.
- Tenant Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing tenants to foster long-term partnerships.
- Address tenant inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Resolve tenant issues and disputes in a timely and effective manner.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges in the retail industry.
- Analyze competitor activity and adjust leasing strategies accordingly.
- Monitor economic indicators and demographic trends to anticipate future market conditions.
- Financial Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to leasing, such as occupancy rates, rental income, and tenant retention.
- Develop strategies to optimize rental income and minimize vacancy costs.
- Prepare regular reports on leasing activities and financial performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail leasing or property management.
- Strong understanding of retail industry trends and tenant preferences.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in lease administration and property management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
