As the Public Relations Lead, you will own and drive the communications and public relations strategy for Emeritus globally. You will craft and execute high-impact PR campaigns, manage media relations, build the brand’s reputation, and ensure consistent, compelling storytelling across markets. Working directly with the Founder and Senior Leadership, you will have a strong strategic voice and the ability to influence outcomes across marketing, brand, leadership communications, internal and external stakeholder engagement. You will operate in a fast-growing, globally distributed environment, with remote engagement from India and exposure across geographies. Develop and implement a global PR strategy aligned with Emeritus’s vision, growth plans and brand positioning. Lead media relations: identify, establish and nurture relationships with key journalists, influencers, analysts and publications (India + global). Craft high-impact messaging and content: press releases, leadership profiles, by-line articles, thought leadership pieces, op-eds, executive interviews, case studies, etc., with impeccable writing clarity and brand voice. Manage brand-driven campaigns around major milestones: new partnerships, product launches, corporate announcements, leadership hires, awards, etc. Monitor media sentiment, track coverage, generate insights and report on PR KPIs (share of voice, sentiment, media value, brand reach). Interface confidently with senior leaders, partners, and investors, representing Emeritus with professionalism, credibility, and strong communication presence. Collaborate cross-functionally across Marketing, Brand, Global Growth, Partnerships, Corporate Development, Investor Relations to ensure coherence of external messaging, launch support for new programme, partnerships and market entries. Act as a brand guardian: maintain consistency of voice and positioning across all external communications. Provide strategic counsel to the Founder and senior leadership on reputation risk, media-opportunity readiness, and crisis communications. Stay abreast of global PR / media trends in edtech, higher education, online learning and adjacent sectors; identify opportunities for Emeritus to lead in thought leadership. Required Qualification & Experience ~10+ years of PR / corporate communications experience (ideally with global remit) working in edtech, higher-education, Internet/technology or fast-growing global brands. ~ Proven track record securing high-visibility media coverage in tier-1 publications (national + international) and managing external communications at senior leadership / founder level. ~ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — adept at crafting clear, persuasive, and engaging narratives for diverse audiences (learners, enterprises, partners, investors). Excellent storytelling and writing skills: ability to craft nuanced narratives for multiple audiences (learners, enterprises, partners, investors) and adapt tones across geographies. ~ Strong strategic mindset: ability to set PR strategy, prioritise initiatives, and deliver measurable impact. ~ Good stakeholder-management skills: comfortable engaging with the Founder, senior leadership, agencies and other teams. ~ Familiarity with media monitoring tools, PR metrics, digital & social media amplification of earned media.
