Senior Director, Data Engineering

Job Title: Senior Director, Data Engineering - AI Location: Bangalore Job Type: Full-Time Immediate joiners or notice period of less than 30 days are needed Purpose As a Senior Director at LogixHealth, you will be leading members of Data engineering team focused on building LogixHealth’s core data platform that will help the organization meet the technical challenges of supporting a rapidly expanding business. You will work with a globally distributed team of engineers to design and build cutting edge solutions that directly improve the healthcare industry. You’ll contribute to our fast-paced, collaborative environment and bring your expertise to continue delivering innovative technology solutions. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Function as a key member of the data engineering team, leading data engineering development initiatives for LogixHealth’s internally developed applications and supporting workflows. Provide decisive and effective technical leadership for all development efforts 2. Guide cloud architectures with cost optimization techniques 3. Lead development of data platform, supporting upstream and downstream systems through agile methodologies 4. Lead and contribute to the creation of a self-service platform for developers, data scientists, analysts, and non-technical users 5. Collaborate with engineers, product, and business leaders to ensure platforms are integrated with other systems and technologies 6. Lead development process by being involved in code reviews and providing feedback for data engineers. Lead solutions development using technical judgment, input from experts, and the involvement of other systems development partners as appropriate 7. Clearly and consistently communicate product vision to the team. Guide the team to achieve this vision 8. Works with product management, business stakeholders, software development and architecture leadership to understand Data Engineering requirements. 9. Monitors teamwork completion rate, defect rates, code coverage, cycle times and other product engineering KPIs. Understands development risks and technical debt and makes process improvement recommendations to the team, management and business stakeholders 10. Fosters an environment of accountability between engineering team members and business stakeholders 11. Mentors and develops the skills of members of the data engineering team, cultivating a culture of learning 12. Serves as the point of escalation for team concerns and engineering obstacles. Education (Degrees, Certificates, Licenses, Etc.) BS (or higher, MS / PhD) degree in Computer Science / related field, or equivalent technical experience. Experience 15+ years’ of experience in development of data environment with AI delivery experience and at least the last few years in a leadership role with progressively increasing responsibilities Extensive experience in the following areas • Design and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures that meet business and technical requirements • Create and manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models • Develop and maintain data architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks • Expertise with Databricks & Airflow platforms • Apache Spark Proficiency: Strong understanding of Spark core concepts, Spark Streaming and data manipulation techniques • Expertise with RDBMS, blob storage, data visualization • Transformation of legacy data technologies to modern architecture • Designing and building cloud-native data solutions (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) • Understanding of LLM solutions, RAG, Vectorization, MLOps • Experience in developing CI/CD solutions for data platforms • Leading large Cloud and Automation transformation projects • Prior hands-on experience in developing code in Microsoft technologies - .NET technologies, SQL Server • Experience in working in a pure DevOps environment • Significant talent for handling stressful situations effectively, prioritizing work, meeting deadlines and motivating others • Experience in recruiting, hiring and retaining the best software engineers, DevOps and QA professionals • People management – Building and driving high performance cross location team, developing modern skills, managing performance management • Experience designing and implementing data security and governance platform adhering to compliance standards (HIPPA, SOC 2) preferred Preferred Experience • Experience in working in RCM domain will be an advantage • Knowledge of modern data architecture, Databricks, Airflow, SSIS • Prior experience in leading teams working data environment • Experience in developing enterprise systems with LLM integration.
