Role Overview:

As a Sr. Applied Scientist at Bolo AI, you will significantly shape our groundbreaking platform. Your role involves designing and leading the development of critical system components. You will work directly under the guidance of our CTO and CEO, contributing to high-level technical strategies and engaging in product design discussions. This role places you at the vanguard of AI and machine learning innovations tailored for the heavy industry sector.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate directly with founders to add further capability of our domain-specific Generative AI Platform for the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Transform research into actionable, innovative products alongside our product and engineering teams.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and associated technologies to continually elevate our platform.
  • Apply rigorous testing and iterative processes to enhance the accuracy and performance of our AI models.
  • Deliver exceptional quality work rapidly, recognizing the fast-paced nature of startup environments.


Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in Large Language Models like OpenAI’s GPT, LLAMA3, or Mistral series, including model integration, customization, and optimization.
  • Proven experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline.
  • Proven experience in fine-tuning LLMs for specific tasks or industries or the use of transfer learning techniques to adapt pre-trained models to new domains or requirements.
  • Skilled in managing large datasets with proficiency in preprocessing techniques and tools such as Pandas in Python.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices in the industry.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field is advantageous.


Desirable Skills:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and prior startup experience.
  • Prompt engineering.
  • Proficiency in cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
