About Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering, particularly with MySQL, and will play a key role in structuring and optimizing our data architecture. This role involves working on our Cosmic Sphere microservices layer, ensuring data integrity and improving data flow across various services.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain MySQL databases for microservices.
  • Structure disconnected data into organized databases, improving data flow and integrity.
  • Ensure data integrity and prevent data loss by maintaining robust data engineering practices.
  • Transition business logic from stored procedures to APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration and functionality.
  • Optimize data architecture to support scalable and efficient data operations.
  • Implement best practices for data management and governance.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • Proficiency in MySQL and database design.
  • Strong understanding of data integrity and data flow optimization.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and API development.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other database technologies and data engineering tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration techniques.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
