Communications and Volunteer Manager
Job Description:
The Feline Foundation is seeking a proactive and organised Communications and Volunteer Manager to join our team. This role is essential for driving growth, fostering community engagement, and ensuring effective communication across all platforms. The Communications and Volunteer Manager will play a critical role in fundraising, social media management, event coordination, and volunteer engagement to support our mission of animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management:
Oversee and execute daily social media content such as posts, stories, reels, videos, creatives, etc. on our platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Draft, edit, and proofread engaging copy for posts, newsletters, and major events.
Manage and update the organisation’s monthly newsletter
Create trending reels and other video content (InShot etc.)
Graphic designing for social media posts (Canva, Adobe etc).
Engage with followers through messages, replies and more
Collect content by documenting our activities, projects, impact stories, case studies and so on
Collaborate on content creation with other organisations
Boost relevant posts through digital marketing on Meta or Google
2. Individual Fundraising:
Handle online and offline fundraising initiatives such as campaigns for our medical cases, wishlist and other needs, volunteer fundraising, fundraising events, merchandise pop-ups, etc.
Ensure high levels of individual donor engagement and retention
Monitor funds raised against campaign targets and implement strategies accordingly
Maintain up-to-date donation records and update the Amazon Wishlist as per requirements
3. Volunteer Management:
Recruit new volunteers through social media, events etc.
Assist with onboarding and orientation of new volunteers and track volunteer attendance
Work in coordination with other staff to discuss volunteer performance and address any issues or concerns
Strategize to increase volunteer attendance, gather feedback and updates from volunteers, and select Volunteer of the Month
Plan and lead Corporate Volunteering activities
4. Event Management and Outreach:
Organise and coordinate events such as merchandise stalls, workshops and educational seminars in collaboration with other organisations
5. Administrative tasks:
Regularly check and manage incoming emails, responding, archiving, or forwarding emails to concerned team members
Prepare weekly reports on social media numbers, achievements, and donations
Document team achievements and organisational milestones to donors and followers
