Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced *Snowflake DBA* with over 7 years of experience in database administration, specializing in *Snowflake* and *cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in **SQL development, **data architecture, and **performance tuning* to manage, optimize, and enhance our data infrastructure.

### *Key Responsibilities:*

- Manage and administer *Snowflake environments* including provisioning, security, monitoring, and performance tuning.

- Design, implement, and maintain *data models, **schemas, and **data flows* in Snowflake.

- Optimize SQL queries and ensure the efficient functioning of the Snowflake data warehouse.

- Collaborate with development teams to create and maintain *ETL/ELT pipelines*.

- Establish and maintain *data security* protocols, *access control* policies, and *data governance* in Snowflake.

- Perform routine maintenance, such as *backups, **restorations*, and data integrity checks.

- Manage *data migrations* to Snowflake from other database systems.

- Monitor and optimize *Snowflake storage* and *compute costs*.

- Troubleshoot and resolve *performance issues* within Snowflake and related systems.

- Create and maintain detailed documentation on configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

- Stay current with the latest *Snowflake releases* and new features, and make recommendations for their application.

- Support data-driven applications and ensure database environments meet SLA requirements.

### *Qualifications:*

- 7+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with at least 2-3 years focused on *Snowflake*.

- Expertise in *SQL* and *performance tuning* for large-scale databases.

- Experience with *cloud platforms* (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and *data lake* architectures.

- Strong understanding of *data warehousing concepts, **ETL processes, and **data modeling*.

- Proficient in *Python, **Shell Scripting*, or similar for automation purposes.

- Experience with *Snowflake Data Sharing, **Clustering, **Query Caching, and **Materialized Views*.

- Familiarity with *data integration tools* (e.g., Fivetran, Talend, Matillion) is a plus.

- Knowledge of *security best practices, including **data encryption* and *access management*.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

### *Education:*

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in *Computer Science, **Information Systems*, or a related field.

### *Certifications (Preferred but not required):*

- *Snowflake SnowPro Certification*

- Certifications in *AWS, **Azure, or **Google Cloud*
