Snowflake Cloud Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake DBA to manage and administer our cloud-based data platforms, including provisioning, security, monitoring, and performance tuning.
This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional with over 7 years of experience in database administration, specializing in Snowflake and cloud-based data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and administer Snowflake environments, including provisioning, security, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Design, implement, and maintain data models, schemas, and data flows in Snowflake.
- Optimize SQL queries and ensure the efficient functioning of the Snowflake data warehouse.
- Collaborate with development teams to create and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Establish and maintain data security protocols, access control policies, and data governance in Snowflake.
- Perform routine maintenance, such as backups, restorations, and data integrity checks.
- Manage data migrations to Snowflake from other database systems.
- Monitor and optimize Snowflake storage and compute costs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues within Snowflake and related systems.
- 7+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with at least 2-3 years focused on Snowflake.
- Expertise in SQL and performance tuning for large-scale databases.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data lake architectures.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- Proficient in Python, Shell Scripting, or similar for automation purposes.
- Experience with Snowflake Data Sharing, Clustering, Query Caching, and Materialized Views.
- Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., Fivetran, Talend, Matillion) is a plus.
- Knowledge of security best practices, including data encryption and access management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement planning, and paid time off.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required. Snowflake SnowPro Certification and certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud are preferred but not required.
