Kotak Institutional Equities - Kotak Securities Limited Kotak Institutional Equities (KIE), a division of Kotak Securities – the broking arm of the Kotak Mahindra Group, is among India's leading institutional brokers. KIE is the preferred India broker for hundreds of institutional clients across the world including many sovereign funds, global long-only funds, hedge funds, domestic mutual funds and insurance funds. KIE covers secondary market broking and markets Indian equity offerings, including IPOs, to domestic and foreign institutional investors (FIIs). Dy Manager/Manager - Compliance, Surveillance and Control Surveillance as part of Legal and Compliance team. KIE is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the team in Mumbai, with expertise in surveillance, internal control functions and Compliance. Key responsibilities include Compliance, Surveillance, Internal Control and Internal Audits. Incumbent would be required to support business objectives and strategies to provide control coverage for the KIE Unit. The role requires close coordination with the business and associated support functions. Review of alerts ( Internal, exchange) - Surveillance and AML Alerts and ensuring timely closure in system and records. Advising on KYC and AML/CFT Compliance requirements of Institutional clients including FPIs. Data analysis of suspicious cases. Preparing of periodic MIS for management / board and team management. Understanding of customer profile to evaluate the risk involved in the alerted transaction. Test the operation and tweak the design of existing operations and controls. Maintain and cultivate a master inventory of businesses policies, practices and processes. Managing CTCL and NEET Ids of KIE and keeping track of certification. Assisting Compliance functions and keeping updated the Management and back office on latest regulatory circulars and guidelines. Advising on KYC and AML/CFT requirements for Institutional clients. Strong product and local market knowledge of financial markets with a focus on particularly FPI and Broking activities. Strong control focused review skills combined with knowledge of regulatory concepts and their practical application in operational processes and products. Take ownership for own career management, seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and improved performance contribution.
