Backed by 100X.VC and CIIE, IIM Ahmedabad, Sharedpro provides innovative solutions for workforce optimization.Job Title: Azure Data EngineerLocation: Gurugram/ Jaipur/ Bhopal/ Pune/ Bengaluru/ ChennaiJob Type: (Full-time)Relevant Experience: 5 to 8 YrsRoles and Responsibilities:Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines on Azure to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.Leverage Azure Data Factory to automate and orchestrate data movement and transformation across systems and platforms.Develop and maintain data processing solutions using Azure Databricks and Apache Spark for large-scale data transformation.Write efficient Python and PySpark code to process large datasets, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.Work with Azure Synapse Analytics to manage and analyze large amounts of structured and unstructured data, optimizing data storage and retrieval.Use SQL to create, modify, and maintain queries, ensuring proper data extraction and manipulation from databases.Implement Cosmos DB solutions for managing and querying distributed NoSQL databases as part of the data storage and processing strategy.Ensure that data architecture adheres to best practices for security, scalability, and performance in a cloud environment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data analysts, and business stakeholders, to deliver high-quality data solutions.Optimize existing data pipelines and infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations and monitoring using Azure monitoring tools.Document data workflows and processes, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing within the team.Required Skills and Experience:3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, specifically in a cloud environment, preferably with Microsoft Azure.Strong proficiency in Azure Data Factory, with experience in creating and managing complex ETL pipelines.Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Apache Spark for data transformation and processing.Expertise in Python and PySpark for building data solutions at scale.Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and performing complex joins, aggregations, and transformations.Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics for large-scale data management and analysis.Knowledge of Cosmos DB and its application in handling NoSQL data storage and distributed systems.Strong understanding of data architecture, best practices, and performance optimization in cloud environments.Familiarity with Azure security practices for data handling, including data encryption, access control, and data privacy.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines related to data workflows.Knowledge of PowerBI or other data visualization tools for presenting data insights.Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes in a data engineering context.Experience in real-time data processing and streaming technologies like Kafka or Event Hubs.Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate or similar.Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets.Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.Ability to work in Agile development environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
