Key Responsibilities:
Incident Management:
Serve as second-level support for Windows desktop environments, focusing on application deployment, user access, and system performance.
Diagnose and resolve complex issues using event logs, system diagnostics, and network analysis tools.
Prioritize and manage incidents within defined SLAs, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Document resolution steps and contribute to a comprehensive knowledge base.
SCCM Administration:
Manage and deploy software, applications, and operating systems using the SCCM console.
Develop and maintain SCCM collections based on user groups, device attributes, and custom criteria to support targeted deployments.
Monitor and report on deployment status to ensure successful software and OS rollouts.
Power Shell Scripting:
Write and maintain Power Shell scripts to automate tasks such as user account management, system configurations, application installations, and data manipulation.
Leverage Power Shell for advanced troubleshooting and system administration tasks.
Desktop Management:
Manage Windows desktop environments, including user profiles, group policies, and security settings.
Troubleshoot hardware and software compatibility issues on user workstations.
Oversee image management and desktop refresh processes to maintain system consistency.
Proactive Monitoring and Optimization:
Continuously monitor system health and performance metrics to detect and address potential issues proactively.
Implement resource management and application optimization measures to enhance system performance.
Participate in capacity planning and recommend infrastructure upgrades to meet organizational needs.
Required Skills and Experience:
Technical Expertise:
Proven experience in Windows Server and Windows desktop (10/11) administration.
Strong understanding of Active Directory, group policies, and DNS.
Proficiency in SCCM administration, including package creation, deployment, and reporting.
Advanced skills in Power Shell scripting for automation and system management.
Basic network troubleshooting skills and understanding of IT infrastructure.
Communication Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to document technical solutions clearly for use in knowledge base updates.
Nice to Have:
Experience with cloud services, including Azure and Intune.
Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
Certifications in Windows administration (MCSE, MCSA) or SCCM are advantageous.
