Key Responsibilities :
Over all 3 to 5 years of working experience as Reliability Engineer.
Familiar with reliability spec (ISO, IEC, MIL Std etc.)
Determine reliability requirements of components and systems to achieve company targets. Recommend experiment designs or test methods, prepare samples and reliability test plans and own data collection, analysis & reporting.
Requires extensive experience in testing of components, performing statistical analysis of the experimental data, and presenting status updates and reports.
Recommend new design fixtures and follow up with suppliers to secure the test setup within the deadlines.
Develop failure modes and effects analysis and fault tree analysis. Advice design engineering on selection, application and test of mechanical, electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical parts & systems.
Develop standard methods, training and methodologies and ensure implementation within organization for competence development, share lessons learnt and develop best practice guidelines.
Participate in the product design process to understand product features, functions and life cycle events to plan for reliability assessment along with FMEA knowledge.
Perform FMEA with the design team to help and create a robust design.
Create a mathematical model for product reliability calculations based on the features/ specifications of mechanical/electrical components.
Ideal Candidate :
Degree or similar qualification in mechanical engineering or a related subject.
Working knowledge of data visualization tools & techniques ( e.g. Reliasoft, Ansys Sherlock, MS excel etc.)
Reliability Centered maintenance (RCM) knowledge and understanding.
Knowledge of statistical methods used for reliability analysis & design of validation test regimes.
Weibull analysis, Failure rate, MTTF, MTBF, Reliability & critical parts prediction and minitab software.
Familiar with the design, operation and environment of automotive electrification.
Design For Reliability (DFR) techniques.
Experience in applying Reliability & safety processes and tools e.g. Fault Tree analysis (FTA), Failure Modes Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA), failure reporting analysis and corrective action system (FRACAS).
Construction of Reliability block diagrams (RBD) & Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
Reliability/Durability Testing, QALT (Quantitative accelerated Life Testing), HALT (Highly
Accelerated Life Testing), HASS (Highly Accelerated Stress screening), FEA & Physics of Failure (Po F) techniques.
Reliability demonstration Testing, Optimization of Test samples size and Test duration by using various aging laws.
Supplier parts Reliability Management.
Warranty analysis & forecasting Failure returns
Hands on experience on mathematical modeling, probability calculations for life-cycle and
reliability.
Hands-on experience in testing under various loads like Vibration, Thermal, Bumps, Ingress
protection, Solar radiation, Flammability etc.
Able to communicate effectively, work flexibility in a multi-disciplinary team and on own
initiative.
