Summary:
As the Email Marketing Manager at Spot Draft, you will be at the forefront of our email efforts. You'll collaborate with teams including content, events, product marketing, and sales, to craft and execute compelling email campaigns.
Your primary responsibilities will include managing our email calendar, and using your high sense of editorial taste and keen eyes to make sure we don’t send out poorly written emails. Our customers are lawyers, and they don’t miss mistakes. You’ll also be responsible for monitoring sender scores across multiple domains, and mitigating deliverability issues. Your expertise will also be crucial in lead nurturing, event invites, webinar promotions, customer marketing, product marketing, and other campaigns as needed, all while maintaining optimal contact frequency to avoid over-emailing.
Naturally you’ll also need to ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM regulations in the US, GDPR regulations in the EU.
Key Responsibilities:
Email Campaign Mastery: Create, execute, and optimize automated and single-send email campaigns that resonate with our legal professional audience.
Deliverability Expertise: Manage sending scores across multiple domains and proactively address deliverability challenges.
Experimentation Approach: Design experiments using email, and potentially other channels, to improve conversion rates through our marketing funnel.
Content Collaboration: Work closely with the content team to develop well-written, trustworthy email content aligned with the legal industry.
Segmentation Strategies: Implement effective segmentation strategies to personalize email communications based on recipient behaviors and preferences.
Compliance Guardian: Ensure all email communications comply with CANN-SPAM laws (US) and GDPR regulations (EU).
Performance Analysis: Analyze owned email campaign performance and paid partner email performance, and provide ROI reports and recommendations for optimization.
Automation Enthusiast: Build and manage workflows for automated email sending processes and audience segments.
Contact Frequency Control: Monitor and manage contact frequency to prevent over-emailing.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams to align email campaigns with broader marketing strategies and objectives.
Qualifications:
Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in email marketing, including campaign production and management.
Hub Spot Proficiency: In-depth experience with Hub Spot, including email production, campaign management, workflow creation, and analytics.
Regulatory Compliance: Strong understanding of CAN-SPAM regulations (US) and GDPR regulations (EU).
Technical Skills: Familiarity with tools for managing sending scores across multiple domains. Understanding how SPF, DKIM, DMARC and BIMI affect email deliverability and make sure they are set up correctly.
Analytical Skills: Proficient in A/B testing, data analysis, and reporting to enhance email campaign performance.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including copy editing abilities.
Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or work experience in a related field.
Previous experience in lead nurturing, marketing automation, and web analytics.
Familiarity with the legal industry and its unique requirements.
Proficiency in Hub Spot, and marketing automation technology.
Highly analytical mindset, capable of deriving insights from data.
