Job Title: AVPSkills: Mainframe, Modernization Legacy, Cobol, CICS, Architect, Solution ArchitectExperience: 18+ yearsLocation:We at Coforge are Mainframe Modernization Architect with the following skillset:We are seeking an experienced mainframe lead for our Legacy Modernization (Mainframe) practice, responsible for building mainframe modernization capabilities and solutions. The ideal candidate will have 18+ years of experience in mainframe technologies, with a strong background in technical leadership, technology management and people management.Technical Skills:Expertise in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS, VSAM, and JCL.Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and modern programming languages (e.g. Java)Nice to have: exposure of Gen AI technologies such as OpenAI, Gemini AI, Watson Z and Amazon Bedrock would be a plusStrong understanding of organizational process optimization techniquesResponsibilities:Responsible for providing leadership and direction in the planning and execution of the Mainframe to cloud migration (Azure, AWS, GCP)Lead the Legacy Modernization (mainframe) team in developing and delivering innovative solutionsWork closely with partners to create differentiating value propositionsDevelop and execute the technology strategy for Legacy Modernization practiceManage and mentor a team of technical professionalsCollaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop solutionsStay UpToDate with industry trends and emerging technologiesRequirements:18+ years of experience in Mainframe and related technologiesBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related fieldAdvanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., IBM, AWS, Azure) are a plus.Candidate should have experience in working or leading Mainframe modernization capabilities in his prior experience.Proven track record of technical leadership and people managementStrong understanding of business operations and industry trends
