Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering , Technology , or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, MBA) are a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with start-ups, technology trends, or sustainability-focused industries.
  • Experience working in or with natural resources, mining, or frontier technology sectors.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:

  • Research and identify potential investment opportunities in alignment with Prospect Innovation's focus areas.
  • Assist in screening inbound deal flow, reviewing pitch decks and executive summaries.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and business models to identify promising ventures.

Due Diligence:

  • Conduct in-depth financial, technical, operational, and market due diligence on shortlisted companies.
  • Prepare detailed financial models, valuations, and sensitivity analyses.
  • Collaborate with the Investment Director and other stakeholders to assess risks and opportunities.

Portfolio Support:

  • Monitor and track the performance of portfolio companies through regular updates and financial reporting.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly and annual reports for stakeholders.
  • Provide research and analysis support to portfolio companies as needed.

Presentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare investment memos and presentations for internal discussions and Investment Committee meetings.
  • Maintain a database of deal flow, industry research, and benchmarking studies.
