Role Description
IIHM is hiring for below position for their IIHS campus in Udaipur. This is a full-time on-site role for a Food and Beverage Faculty. The Faculty will be responsible for conducting classes, developing curriculum, mentoring students, and contributing to the academic and professional growth of aspiring hospitality professionals.
Teaching and Curriculum Development
Deliver high-quality lectures and practical sessions in Food and Beverage Management.
Develop and update course content, syllabi, and instructional materials in line with the latest industry trends and academic standards.
Incorporate new teaching methodologies, including online and hybrid learning tools.
Student Engagement and Support
Mentor and guide students in their academic and professional development.
Provide academic advising and career counseling to help students achieve their goals.
Organize and supervise student projects, internships, and field trips.
Research and Publications
Engage in research activities in the field of Food and Beverage Management.
Publish research findings in reputable journals, and present at conferences and seminars.
Encourage and guide students in research activities and projects.
Industry Collaboration and Professional Development
Develop and maintain relationships with industry professionals, hospitality organizations, and alumni for guest lectures, workshops, and collaborative projects.
Stay updated with industry trends and developments to enhance teaching quality.
Participate in professional development activities, including workshops, seminars, and conferences.
Quality Assurance and Accreditation
Contribute to the continuous improvement of academic programs through participation in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and quality assurance processes.
Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and guidelines set by educational and professional bodies.
Institutional Development and Outreach
Participate in student recruitment and outreach activities, including open days, career fairs, and promotional events.
Contribute to the development and implementation of institutional strategies and initiatives.
Engage in community service and outreach programs related to the hospitality and tourism industry.
Administrative Responsibilities
Assist in the management of departmental operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and scheduling.
Participate in committees and task forces as assigned by the institution.
Ensure the maintenance of a safe and conducive learning environment in classrooms and laboratories.
Personal and Professional Conduct
Uphold the ethical standards and values of the institution.
Maintain a professional demeanor in interactions with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Continuously seek personal and professional growth opportunities.
Qualifications
Food Service and Food & Beverage skills
Culinary Skills
Customer Service and Communication skills
Experience in curriculum development and teaching
Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities
Professional certification in Hospitality Management or related field
Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in Food and Beverage operations
