About Position:We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Azure cloud services and a strong development background. You will lead DevOps initiatives, drive cloud adoption, and collaborate across teams to implement best practices in CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and container orchestration.- Role: Sr Database Administrator- Location: Hyderabad, Pune, Bangalore- Experience: 8+ Years- Job Type: Full Time EmploymentWhat You'll Do:- Ensure design consistency across applications and identify data redundancies in enterprise data models.- Develop and maintain data standards, definitions, and logical database designs (ERDs).- Provide consultation to ADM teams on database requirements aligned with technical specifications.- Recommend updates to enterprise and logical data models.- Advise on integration of data across multiple systems and provide architectural sign-off.- Collaborate with data modelers and DBAs to define metadata and maintain data dictionaries.- Install, configure, patch, and maintain database software.- Perform version upgrades and manage software lifecycle.- Handle software license management and maintain accurate inventory.- Define and optimize physical data file placement and indexing strategies.- Design and configure storage and replication strategies.- Plan and implement backup and restore procedures.- Translate logical schemas into physical layouts and perform tuning for optimal performance.- Operate within customer-defined standards, policies, and procedures.- Validate standards and processes before deployment and document run books.- Ensure compliance with security requirements and best practices.- Monitor and optimize physical database performance.- Configure monitoring tools for alerts and thresholds.- Maintain valid disaster recovery (DR) plans and test regularly.- Identify SQL tuning opportunities and implement recommendations.- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for all database software.- Coordinate with ADM teams and third-party providers for design and impact analysis.- Participate in hardware changes and perform data migrations.- Develop implementation and fallback procedures for database changes.Expertise You'll Bring:- Strong experience in data modeling (logical & physical) and enterprise data architecture.- Expertise in DBMS installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.- Proficiency in SQL, indexing, and optimization techniques.- Knowledge of data integration strategies, metadata management, and data dictionaries.- Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and security compliance.- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.- Experience with multiple DBMS platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).- Knowledge of cloud database environments (AWS RDS, Azure SQL).- Exposure to data warehouse design, ETL processes, and automation tools.Benefits:- Competitive salary and benefits package- Culture focused on talent development with quarterly growth opportunities and company-sponsored higher education and certifications- Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies- Employee engagement initiatives such as project parties, flexible work hours, and Long Service awards- Annual health check-ups- Insurance coverage: group term life, personal accident, and Mediclaim hospitalization for self, spouse, two children, and parentsValues-Driven, People-Centric & Inclusive Work Environment:Persistent Ltd. is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
