Oracle Database ExpertJob Description:As an experienced Oracle Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the successful deployment, management, and optimization of high-availability Oracle databases across various versions. This includes installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting.Key Responsibilities:Maintenance and UpgradesPerform periodic maintenance, patching as required, and monitoring database performance to ensure optimal efficiency.Backup and RecoveryManage backup and recovery using RMAN and Oracle Recovery Manager strategies, define and implement best practices and automation initiatives.Migration and OptimizationLead database migration projects from on-prem to cloud or version upgrades, ensuring seamless transition and minimal downtime.Required Skills:Expertise in RMANProficient in RMAN backup and recovery strategies, with hands-on experience in performance tuning and query optimization.High AvailabilityStrong knowledge of Oracle Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery, with a solid understanding of Unix/Linux system administration related to Oracle.Automation and ScriptingProficiency in writing complex PL/SQL scripts and shell scripting for automation, with experience in handling large-scale database environments (multi-TB).Collaboration and CommunicationGood communication skills with both technical and management teams, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.Preferred Skills:Cloud InfrastructureExposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Autonomous Databases, with experience in database security auditing and compliance.Replication and DeploymentExperience with GoldenGate or other replication tools, familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, or other IaC tools for database deployment automation.Containerization and SecurityExposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) in relation to databases, with a strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
