Sales and marketing intern

Simply Biz is a multi-disciplinary professional services provider, catering to startups, SMBs, and global corporations with offerings across entity setup, accounting, bookkeeping, taxation, payroll, compliances, and more. Our newly launched Global Capability Center (GCC) vertical is specifically tailored for SMBs aiming to set up micro GCCs in India, providing support in talent acquisition, infrastructural setup, and operational management.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Sales Intern to join our team and contribute to our expansion in the GCC and Simply FACT services space. This role is designed for an individual interested in gaining hands-on experience in B2 B sales, specifically through cold calling and appointment setting. The intern will work directly with our Sales Head to generate leads and create potential client engagement opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
· Appointment Setting :
o Effectively communicate and set up meetings with qualified prospects.
o Coordinate with vertical heads/ engagement managers to schedule virtual or in-person meetings, ensuring alignment with team availability and client preferences.
o Confirm appointments and send out necessary follow-up emails or reminders.
· Lead Qualification :
o Conduct basic research to identify prospective clients in target markets, including startups, SMBs, and growth-stage companies.
o Utilize Hub Spot to record interactions, track lead status, and maintain accurate data for future reference.
· Pitch Development :
o Understand and articulate Simply Biz’s value proposition and tailor pitches to match prospective client needs.
o Collaborate with the sales team to refine and improve the effectiveness of calling scripts and appointment-setting processes.
· Cold Calling:
o Initiate outbound calls to prospective clients, specifically focusing on SMBs and overseas funded companies.
o Introduce Simply Biz’s GCC and Simply FACT offerings, emphasizing their benefits and unique selling points.
o Maintain a structured approach, ensuring a high call volume with consistent follow-ups to engage potential clients.
· Reporting & Analysis :
o Generate daily and weekly reports on call outcomes, lead status, and scheduled meetings.
o Analyze call performance data to identify areas for improvement and achieve monthly targets.
Qualifications
· Educational Background : Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
· Experience : Previous internship or experience in sales, telemarketing, or customer service is an advantage.
· Skills :
o Strong verbal and written communication skills.
o Ability to handle objections and maintain professionalism during client interactions.
o Proficiency in using CRM software (preferably Zoho CRM/Hub Spot) and basic MS Office tools.
· Personal Attributes :
o Self-motivated, with a strong desire to achieve results.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks with enthusiasm.
o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
