Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and strategic Lead Copywriter with deep expertise in the US market. The ideal candidate will have experience crafting persuasive and engaging content for ecommerce, software products, or B2C SaaS platforms. This role demands an exceptional storyteller with expertise in crafting both short-form and long-form content across various platforms. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of audience engagement, a knack for writing persuasive and impactful copy, and the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, concise, and compelling messaging.


Key Responsibilities

Content Creation

  • Short-Form Copywriting: Craft attention-grabbing headlines, social media captions, email subject lines, and ad copy that drives conversions and engagement.
  • Long-Form Copywriting: Develop in-depth blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, website content, and eBooks that establish thought leadership and deliver value to the audience.
  • Write compelling scripts for video content, including explainer videos, ads, and testimonials.
  • Develop product descriptions and sales pages that articulate value propositions clearly and persuasively.

Strategic Involvement

  • Collaborate closely with marketing, design, and product teams to understand objectives and create copy that aligns with brand tone and strategy.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions for campaign ideation, ensuring messaging consistency across all customer touchpoints.
  • Optimize content based on performance analytics and A/B testing insights.

Brand Stewardship

  • Ensure all copy adheres to brand guidelines, maintaining a consistent voice and tone.
  • Serve as a guardian of brand storytelling, ensuring content resonates with target audiences.

Editorial Oversight

  • Review and edit copy for accuracy, grammar, and overall quality.
  • Mentor junior writers and provide constructive feedback to elevate team output.

Research and Innovation

  • Conduct audience research to inform copywriting strategies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to keep content fresh and innovative.


Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

  • Overall proven experience of 10 years in professional copywriting, with a portfolio showcasing short-form and long-form work.
  • Minimum 6 years of copywriting experience, with a focus on the US market.
  • Proven work experience in ecommerce, software products, or B2C SaaS.
  • Portfolio of professional and personal writings is a must have.
  • Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to adapt tone and style to different platforms and audiences.
  • Expertise in SEO principles and the ability to optimize long-form content for search engines.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and paid advertising.
  • Proficiency in conducting thorough research to craft authoritative and credible content.
  • Previous experience with content aggregation and media publishing preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with tools like Grammarly, Hemingway, Google Analytics, and A/B testing platforms.
  • Experience in SaaS, e-commerce, or other fast-paced industries is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS or content management systems like WordPress
