Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintainrelational and non-relational databasesto support business applications.Write and optimizeSQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functionsfor high performance.Collaborate with software developers to designdatabase schemas ,data models , andintegrations .Ensuredata integrity, accuracy, and consistencyacross systems.Monitor and tune database performance, includingindexing, query optimization, and partitioning .Assist indatabase design for new applicationsand ensure adherence to best practices.Implement and managedata migration ,ETL processes , anddata integration pipelines .Work with DBAs onbackup and recovery ,security management , anduser access controls .Supporttesting, debugging, and deploymentof database components.Document database designs, architecture decisions, and procedures.Stay updated withemerging database technologiesand recommend improvements.Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science, Information Systems, or a related field .Strong proficiency inSQLandPL/SQLprogramming.Experience withrelational databases(e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).Familiarity withNoSQL databases(e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB) is a plus.Solid understanding ofdatabase design principles ,normalization , anddata modeling .Knowledge ofETL tools(Informatica, Talend, SSIS) ordata integration frameworks .Experience withcloud databasessuch asAWS RDS, Azure SQL, or Google Cloud SQL .Understanding ofperformance tuning ,indexing strategies , andquery optimization .Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:Certifications such as:Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator AssociateOracle Certified Professional (OCP)AWS Certified Database – SpecialtyExperience withdata warehousing ,data lakes , orbusiness intelligence systems .Familiarity withCI/CD pipelinesfor database deployment and version control (e.g., Liquibase, Flyway).Knowledge ofPython, R, or other scripting languagesfor data automation tasks.Exposure tobig data platforms(Hadoop, Spark, Snowflake, Redshift).
