Reporting to the Director, Product Management, Learning Tools and Assessments, the Product Manager is a strong individual contributor that collaborates with colleagues across Higher Education and beyond to manage a small portfolio of related applications that underpin our approach to open form assignments.What You'll Do:Drive growth for our existing Writing Solutions, MediaShare, and Freehand Grader applicationsPartner with the Director of Product Management to refine a strategy for owned applications rooted in customer research, performance analysis, competitive analysis, and market dataChampion product vision and strategy with stakeholders at all levelsTranslate the strategy into an actionable roadmap by sizing opportunities, defining the work, and aligning with key stakeholders during go-to-market periodsWork closely with Engineering, UX, and Program management to bring product roadmap to lifeWork with stakeholders in Portfolio, Content Production, Customer Success, and Marketing to ensure the product strategy is continually informed by their needs as well as Customer needsServe as a subject matter expert on the capabilities of assigned tools, and their place in the market and competitive landscape.Collaborate with relevant teams to identify, track, analyze, and communicate key performance metrics that drive strategic business and product decisionsRegularly lead and update product research and experimentation, focused on customer preferences and market dynamicsEngage in end-to-end ownership, becoming a subject matter expert in all issues your customers and stakeholders faceInform go-to-market strategy and ensure successful enablement of product launches and feature updates, in partnership with Marketing, Sales, Portfolio, and Customer SuccessRequirements5 years of product management experience working on educational technology products (or significant experience in roles with equivalent responsibilities)Have an obsession with discovery and connecting with the customerStrategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at evaluating market opportunities and prioritizing work based on strategic importance and relevant dataResults-oriented and self-motivated, skilled at executing projects and proactively adapting to a dynamic work environmentSkilled at influencing, building relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the organizationComfortable navigating ambiguous or complex issues and outlining effective solutionsGlobal mindset with excellent communication skills, effectively connecting with team members and customers worldwideExperience gathering, analyzing, and making decisions based on user feedbackExperience assessing market opportunities and prioritizing based on impact.Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationshipsExperience analyzing and communicating product performance and insights to stakeholders using analytical and presentation toolsCompensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:The minimum full-time salary range is between $145,000 - $175,000.This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program, and information on benefits offered is here.Applications will be accepted through December 8th.
