We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer / Cybersecurity Specialist to secure and maintain our AWS-based infrastructure, which supports multiple eCommerce clients across three regions (Prod, QA, and Dev). This role will focus on enhancing our cybersecurity practices, enforcing access control, and managing incident response. The ideal candidate has a strong background in AWS security, network security, and vulnerability management, with experience in handling complex, cloud-based environments.


Responsibilities :


Cloud Security Management: 

 - Manage AWS security configurations, including VPC, IAM roles, security groups, VPN access, and IP rules.

 - Implement and enforce access control policies across EC2 instances, RDS, and other AWS resources.

 - Configure and monitor AWS GuardDuty, CloudTrail, and CloudWatch for proactive security monitoring.


Threat Detection and Incident Response:

 - Set up and maintain intrusion detection/prevention systems to monitor and alert for suspicious activities.

 - Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and remediate risks.

 - Lead incident response efforts, including investigating and mitigating security incidents.


SSH and Certificate Management:

 - Oversee SSH access with certificate-based authentication for EC2 instances and other resources.

 - Ensure secure management of SSH keys and automate access provisioning and deprovisioning as needed.


Data Security and Compliance:

 - Implement data encryption, secure backup practices, and manage encryption keys.

 - Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).


Collaboration and Documentation:

 - Work closely with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to ensure a secure CI/CD pipeline.

 - Document security configurations, protocols, and incident response procedures to maintain knowledge management.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience: 3-7+ years in security engineering or cybersecurity, with a focus on cloud (AWS) security.


Technical Expertise:

 - Strong knowledge of AWS security services (IAM, VPC, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Shield, Security Hub).

 - Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Qualys, Nessus, AWS Inspector) and intrusion detection systems.

 - Proficiency in network security (VPN, IP whitelisting, firewall configurations).

 - Familiarity with encryption standards, data backup strategies, and AWS key management (KMS).


Automation and Scripting:

 - Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of security tasks and incident response.


Soft Skills:

 - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

 - Effective communication and documentation skills for cross-team collaboration and reporting.

- Certifications (preferred but not required): AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).


Preferred Qualifications:

- Familiarity with compliance requirements like GDPR, PCI-DSS, or other relevant regulations.

- Experience with CI/CD security, especially in Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.

- Knowledge of firewall management, VPN configuration, and network security best practices.
