AWS DevOps Engineer Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled AWS DevOps Engineer with expertise in Python to join our dynamic team at Coders Brain Technology Private Limited. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in automating, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure while ensuring high availability and scalability of systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure on AWS.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments using Python, AWS Lambda, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring using AWS services and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus) to ensure system health and performance.
  • Ensure infrastructure and applications adhere to security best practices, compliance standards, and manage IAM policies for secure access control.
  • Work closely with software development, operations, and product teams to ensure continuous integration and deployment practices are aligned with business goals.
  • Diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related issues and optimize AWS resources for cost-efficiency.
  • Write clear, maintainable documentation for infrastructure and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • AWS Expertise: In-depth experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, IAM, and Route 53.
  • DevOps Tools: Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins.
  • Python Scripting: Strong expertise in Python for automation, scripting, and writing Lambda functions.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with IaC tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Pulumi.
  • CI/CD: Hands-on experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in an AWS environment.
  • Version Control: Proficiency with Git and managing repositories in a team environment.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Experience with monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, ELK stack, or Grafana.
  • Security Practices: Knowledge of AWS security best practices, including managing IAM roles, security groups, and encryption.
  • Containerization: Experience with Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes for container management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in AWS DevOps engineering roles.
  • Certification: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Solutions Architect certifications are a plus.
  • Scripting Languages: Knowledge of additional scripting languages such as Bash or Shell is a bonus.
  • Agile Environment: Familiarity with working in Agile development environments.
