Position: MS SQL Database Administrator (L3)Location: Mumbai (Fort Road)Experience: 8+ Years with Relevant experienceWork Mode: Work from officeNotice Period : Immediate / 15 Days only (Mandatory)Education Qualification:B.E./Diploma/BSC/BTech (No education gap, Full time)1. B.E. / Diploma ( In Computers Science, IT , Electronics & Telecommunication ) ( Civil and Mechanical not preferred)2. B.Sc. -IT3. BCA or MCA ( Full time course from reputed University)4. No gap in education ( Passing year for S.S. C , H.S.C. and Degree/Diploma to be mentioned)JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:8+ years relevant experience and minimum 2+ years team lead experience is mandatoryDatabase troubleshooting and Failover cluster, Always ON working experience is Mandatory plus team managementMonitor generated log and event files indicating errors that will result in an incidentDR Database availability MonitoringMonitor database log replicationReport Status of Log Replications as per agreed schedulesSession/Query/Log/Latch monitoringMonitor the DB for failures and logged system events that indicate an imminent failurePurging database Logs and trace filesPeriodic config review to maintain consistent configurationsReview and recommendation to maintain availabilityMonthly report on database availabilityMonitor the DB for failures and logged system events that indicate imminent failure.Reconfigure log ShippingTransaction replication ConfigurationLink Servers configurationFailover clusteringAlways ONResponding to database related incidents and driving corrective actionTuning DB parametersCorrelate related incidents together into a problem ticket and manage through the problem management processUse trend analysis to identify, detail, categorize, prioritize and create Problems Management Records.Restoration of databaseSupport SQL DB L2 team for handling critical issues.Handle DB performance related issues.Handle end to end Major incidents and communicate to customers on production issue.Creating jobs/job schedule for routine/Maintenance jobs & Rebuilding of indexesPurging database Logs and trace files & Performance ManagementDefragmentation of Database and performance tuningManage all Service requests through the change management processAutomate administration tasks where possibleManage and update all Database environment documentationSQL patch compliance and hardening compliance.Ensure DB server availability for business application.
