Cloud Operations Engineer

Due to our success, we are growing our next generation Cloud Operations team and seeking a  Cloud Operations Engineer  to join our team at Chennai (hosted by Kedge Systems Private Limited, at Navalur, Chennai.).Purpose:The role will be responsible for the daily operation of the cloud solutions provided to our customers – specific with focus on backup and disaster recovery.You will be supporting the Technical Manager on cloud solutions, offerings, requirements, security, and standards.You will be advising & sparring together with the rest of the cloud operations team, on best practice and requirements for Configit Cloud Operations.Responsibilities:Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters in cloud environmentsMaintain and operate cloud environments on AzureSecure Configit Cloud solution with well-documented proceduresWorking closely together with the architect to professionalize our solutions to the next level by providing feedback on the scripts designed by the Cloud Operation teamEnsure client operation and meet promised customer SLA’sAdditional Responsibilities:Regular day to day decisions around operating cloud environments.Participate on equal level with improvement ideas and design changes as the rest of the teamExperience:Professional background with 2+ years of experience in Azure cloud componentsGood experience with Microsoft Azure or AWSKnowledge of Kubernetes is mustWorking knowledge in DevOps PipelinesExperience with SQL and No SQL based databases.Experience with Web Application Development lifecycleExperience with project delivery to end-customersTechnical Skills:Bachelor or Master’s in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or similarPowerShell knowledge and experiencePersonal Qualities:Excellent documentation and troubleshooting skillsGood communication (written and verbal) skills in EnglishAbilities of a fast learner and desire to stay current with technology and best practicesA pragmatic approach and a resourceful individual with desire to assist, engage and provide high-level serviceAbility to effectively balance multiple on-going activitiesFlexibility and commitment (Be available outside office hours in case of extremely critical issue resolution)Other desirable factors:Professional background with 2+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture and Azure cloud componentsITIL and/or Scrum experienceExperience with Microsoft LogAnalyticsExperience working with Java and C# (is an advantage)Experience with Visual Studio, TeamCity, Continuous Integration, Git & GitHub (is an advantage)Expected Results:Deliver deployment environments for our business units’ projectsAssisting Support with ticket solutionsAssist on project start-up’s with knowledge on sizing and structure based on the framework providedParticipate in presales meeting after 6-9 months of employmentParticipate in Status meeting with key customersOperating and assisting Delivery with ongoing projectsBeing responsible for the operation of solutions after go-liveIn Configit, we value diversity of background, gender, age and thought among our employees.
