Cloud Operations Engineer

Due to our success, we are growing our next generation Cloud Operations team and seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team at Chennai (hosted by Kedge Systems Private Limited, at Navalur, Chennai.).Purpose:- The role will be responsible for the daily operation of the cloud solutions provided to our customers – specific with focus on backup and disaster recovery.- You will be supporting the Technical Manager on cloud solutions, offerings, requirements, security, and standards.- You will be advising & sparring together with the rest of the cloud operations team, on best practice and requirements for Configit Cloud Operations.Responsibilities:- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters in cloud environments- Maintain and operate cloud environments on Azure- Secure Configit Cloud solution with well-documented procedures- Working closely together with the architect to professionalize our solutions to the next level by providing feedback on the scripts designed by the Cloud Operation team- Ensure client operation and meet promised customer SLA’sAdditional Responsibilities:- Regular day to day decisions around operating cloud environments.- Participate on equal level with improvement ideas and design changes as the rest of the teamExperience:- Professional background with 2+ years of experience in Azure cloud components- Good experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS- Knowledge of Kubernetes is must- Working knowledge in DevOps Pipelines- Experience with SQL and No SQL based databases.- Experience with Web Application Development lifecycle- Experience with project delivery to end-customersTechnical Skills:- Bachelor or Master’s in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or similar- PowerShell knowledge and experiencePersonal Qualities:- Excellent documentation and troubleshooting skills- Good communication (written and verbal) skills in English- Abilities of a fast learner and desire to stay current with technology and best practices- A pragmatic approach and a resourceful individual with desire to assist, engage and provide high-level service- Ability to effectively balance multiple on-going activities- Flexibility and commitment (Be available outside office hours in case of extremely critical issue resolution)Other desirable factors:- Professional background with 2+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture and Azure cloud components- ITIL and/or Scrum experience- Experience with Microsoft LogAnalytics- Experience working with Java and C# (is an advantage)- Experience with Visual Studio, TeamCity, Continuous Integration, Git & GitHub (is an advantage)Expected Results:- Deliver deployment environments for our business units’ projects- Assisting Support with ticket solutions- Assist on project start-up’s with knowledge on sizing and structure based on the framework provided- Participate in presales meeting after 6-9 months of employment- Participate in Status meeting with key customers- Operating and assisting Delivery with ongoing projects- Being responsible for the operation of solutions after go-liveIn Configit, we value diversity of background, gender, age and thought among our employees.
